•Planning and programming PLC controls in special machine construction for the automotive sector (combustion engines, electric drives, fuel cells, battery production)
•Supporting the planning and project design stages
•Developing and optimizing control software using TIA software
•Visualizing systems using HMI solutions (e.g., WinCC Flexible)
•Parameterizing and commissioning drive systems (Siemens, SEW, ABB, etc.) and related components (incremental encoders, position measuring systems, load limits, safety shutdowns)
•Parameterizing and commissioning other connected field devices (e.g., robots, presses, laser marking, scanners, vision sensors, etc.).
•Testing software through simulation.
•Conducting functional tests and commissioning both domestically and internationally.
•Analysing and resolving software faults and problem reports in hardware and software environments, remotely or on-site.
•Creating project documentation (checklists, training documents, templates, specifications, operating instructions, etc.).
Requirements:
•State-certified technician (m/f) in electrical engineering/automation technology or a completed degree in electrical engineering/automation technology (m/f) or a comparable qualification.
•Specialist knowledge in PLC programming (preferably Siemens SIMATIC S7, TIA Portal) and in creating visualizations. Knowledge of Beckhoff and Bosch is a plus.
•Experience in robot programming (e.g., ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, or similar) is an advantage.
•Self-reliant, careful, and independent working style with a strong ability to collaborate in teams.
•Experience in specifying systems in accordance with functional safety (PL or SIL) is a plus.
•Advantageous: Experience in electrical design and documentation with EPLAN P8.
•Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
•Strong initiative, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to travel internationally.
•Good knowledge of the MS Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
